Put the
egg in a glass of water, you can see if it is fresh or an old one.
When you
put a fresh egg in a glass of water, it will sink to the bottom. If the egg is
old, it will float in the surface. If the egg hangs in the mid of the water it
is not old but also not fresh anymore. In the other word, the fresher the egg
is, the more it sinks to the bottom of the glass.
Besides,
you can distinguish between fresh and old eggs by touching the eggshell. The
fresh egg has lumpy and rough shell. And the old egg will have smooth and plain
shell.
Some
people distinguish between them by shaking the egg and listen to the sound. The
fresh egg will not make any sound when being shook and the old will cause some
little sound inside.
